About Thea

Hello there! It's a pleasure to connect with you.
I'm Teodora, but you can call me Thea.
I've delved into the realm of IT since 2017, navigating through diverse projects, teams, and dynamic environments. Initially, my focus was on elevating web aesthetics using the SASS extension language. However, my recent journey has involved a deeper dive into JavaScript and the fascinating realms of UX/UI.

My academic journey led me to a bachelor's degree in Web Design from the Higher Technical School of Applied Studies in Novi Sad. If you're curious about my professional ventures, you'll find more details on my LinkedIn profile.

When it comes to coding, I'm a firm believer in keeping things nice and clean. Organized code isn't just visually appealing—it's the backbone that simplifies updating existing elements and seamlessly integrating new features. It's all about setting a strict standard right from the start. After all, a disciplined approach to structure and cleanliness is the key to an efficient and hassle-free coding journey, wouldn't you say? :)

As for my professional experience, I've detailed my projects and work in the “Experience” section, as well as links to some of the projects on LinkedIn, saving the nitty-gritty for there.

Outside the coding realm, my free time revolves around my furry companion — I love spending quality moments cuddling, playing in the dog park, meeting friends, going for a hike. I'm an avid reader, breaking my own record in 2023 by devouring 18 novels. Theater holds a special place in my heart, and I find joy in attending compelling plays.

I consider myself quite crafty, with hobbies ranging from playing the cello to sewing, crocheting, and even exploring stripping and weaving, although time only sometimes permits these passions. Here's to hoping I'll carve out more time for these creative pursuits.

projects

Throughout my journey, I've tackled a diverse array of over 20 projects, with a significant emphasis on 15 enterprise-level endeavors that were aging and crying out for modernization. My repertoire includes ventures spanning Wordpress sites, static platforms and Angular-based projects, where I've taken on the challenge of breathing new life into aging systems. In this section, you'll discover a collection of links to posts that delve into some of the projects I've had the privilege of contributing to.
And you know what?
I absolutely love refactoring. That's how I satisfy my OCD :)

design system

Throughout my career, I've encountered numerous fulfilling experiences, and among them was the exhilarating task of implementing a Design System. The joy I derive from well-structured and organized work was magnificently satisfied by the process of crafting and integrating a design system. The precision and clarity inherent in this endeavor truly resonated with my professional satisfaction.

mentoring

Knowledge sharing is a passion of mine, seamlessly woven into both my daily work and leisure hours. Beyond my professional commitments, I enthusiastically assist friends keen on transitioning to the realm of IT as well as engaging in online courses.

multiple themes

Implementing multiple themes, or themes for different tenants, was a really challenging yet super fun assignment to do. Changes for font size, color, background images, etc. were implemented with pure (s)CSS, JS was needed for the assignment of essential tenant name classes.
